What if Lou accidentally came to Uglyville before the uglydolls came to the Institute of Perfection?
Not sure exactly when you sent me this, but @subwhizz has a comic/graphic novel that they are working on called "Lou in Wonderland AU" and it is exactly what you're asking.
HOWEVER, I'm never gonna pass an opportunity to write out some ideas that sprung into my head. I do suggest reading the "Lou in Wonderland" story though. Sub is an amazing artist and an even better storyteller!
-------
The machines weren't perfect themselves by any means. Come to think of it, it would be pointless for Lou to even exist if the machines didn't intentionally create flawed dolls to a certain extent. But when Nolan popped into the Institute, Lou realized maybe the humans had let the factory go. There hadn't been that bad of a mess up since...
Lou shook the memories away, focusing on the never-ending tunnel in front of him as he walked. The flashlight flickered and the bulb made a static noise as it tried to warn Lou that the batteries were dying. He ignored it. Besides, the pipes only led to Perfection, so realistically he could just turn around and get back home easily.
It flickered again and Lou slammed the heel of his hand against it. "Stupid light..." He looked up, coming to a halt. "What in the world...?" The hole that normally led to the incinerator was blocked up with splintered wood and poorly driven in nails. No wonder he had mistakes like Nolan ending up in Perfection...
But that didn't entirely make sense either. The machines would realistically pop out a faulty doll out of every 100 or so made. He'd checked the math himself. That's what made Ox such a spectacle was that it was the first doll in years since the company started that hadn't been sorted correctly. But Nolan would still be recognized as a Pretty Doll. Despite his...differences, Nolan didn't have enough faults to him for the machine to deem him as a mistake.
So, if Lou hadn't seen any other faulty dolls...and the incinerator was blocked up...then where were mistakes going?
Lou blinked as the flashlight flickered one last time before dying unceremoniously. He sighed. This was a mystery for another day. Or whenever he could manage to steal the batteries from one of the robots again.
"Good thing the pipes all lead to--OHMYDOLL!" Lou screamed and felt his heart practically leap into his throat as he freefell into...well, it had looked like darkness before but now this was just liquid darkness he was slipping through. He desperately tried to reach his arms out in hope to grab onto something, but it felt like more pipe. But why was it going down!?
He screamed the whole way down, opting in closing his eyes despite not being able to see anything regardless, and praying that death would meet him quickly.
Light soon blinded him and he hardly had time to adjust his eyes before his whole body ached from crashing onto something hard. Luckily he landed on his back.
He groaned, eyes squinting in pain and still blinded by how much light there suddenly was. Some of it was blocked out suddenly by a weird, red figure. A wing-like appendage moved across his vision a few times and then he realized there was a voice connected to it.
Lou grimaced from the pain all through his back and head. "Please tell me I'm dead..."
The head of the figure tilted curiously. "I...w-well no...um...w-would you like to be?"
Lou put a heavy hand to his forehead. "Kind of. Are you gonna kill me?"
"No, but I do offer therapy sessions."
Who or whatever this voice belonged to had a lot more personality than the mindless dolls he trained on the daily. It didn't sound like such manufactured dialogue.
Something poked his side and Lou coughed as pain and a tickling sensation bubbled through him. "We have tons of food here too. You're awfully scrawny."
Lou waved the...it felt like an actual wing. What the heck. He opened his eyes blearily and finally got them to focus on...
A...bat? A red bat.
Lou scrambled back quickly. "What in the world are you?"
The bat looked surprised and a little put off by the reaction, but he spoke calmly. "My name is LuckyBat and I'm an UglyDoll, just like you!" He smiled with sharp fangs poking out of his lips.
"Excuse me?" Lou narrowed his eyes at the creature.
"Welcome to Uglyville! We never got an announcement of a new arrival. Did you get here through the flower?" LuckyBat paced a few circles around Lou, inspecting every inch of him.
Lou would lean a little ways opposite of wherever Lucky was as he revolved. "Flower?" The bat simply gestured upward. Lou followed up to the weird sunflower-looking thing jutting out of the cliff. "Yeah, I came out of that I think." Lou shook his head. "Where did you say this was?"
"Uglyville," Lucky straightened with a smile.
"Right..." Lou winced and forced himself to stand up. He rubbed the back of his head.
"I think this belongs to you. It fell out of the flower too." Lou squinted down. Lucky held up a dented flashlight to him.
Lou took it, already knowing it really wouldn't work anymore despite getting new batteries. "Thanks...What's your name again?"
"Luckybat." Boy, this newcomer sure had a bad memory.
"Why are you called that?"
"I'm usually very lucky. Lucky to have great friends, a great home, to be alive--"
Lou snorted. If this creature was here only because the incinerator was blocked, then yeah, he was lucky to be alive.
"What's so funny?" Lucky looked genuinely interested.
Lou shook his head quickly, going back to tinkering with the flashlight. "Nothing. I have another question."
"You're full of those, huh?" Lucky smiled.
The blond rolled his eyes. "Yeah. How do I get back up into the pi--flower?"
Lucky tilted his head. "You...want to leave?"
"Yes, very much so."
The bat seemed nervous now for some reason. "W-Well, I'm not so sure, but...I think I know someone who could help! She talks a lot about the flower and going through it. I'm sure she's got a million different ways to get up there!" Lucky bounded off ahead of Lou, not bothering to see if he was following.
Lou sighed, looking at the flashlight in his hand once before tossing it behind him and following the bat toward wherever.
The flashlight flickered back on behind them.

I'll probably leave this right here for now and if you want a continuation I'll make the next parts longer.
Spoiler, I think I plan on continuing it anyway, but STILL.
It's also currently 1:40 in the morning where I am and I need to go to bed...

In the apoc au, can working parts be taken from already dead cars? If so, does that mean that grave robbing could be a thing? Digging up the dead for their parts…
hehehee
excellent question. so this is already baked into the entire setup/conflict
Cars are mostly metal, but they have some semi-organic bits. Eyes, mouth-flesh, some internal organs, a non-mechanical circulatory system: all stuff that decomposes. It turns to sludge, and drips out of gaps in the living metal. As the months have gone on, the corpses have started to turn a bit …gummy. In places where winter never touched, the scattered bodies of unfortunate souls lay in pools of rank, thick liquid. [Turbine]
we've established that there's just dead bodies Everywhere. millions of people died, not nearly enough are left to bury them all. its a horror show. cars dont decompose as fully/quickly as organic beings do. theyre mostly metal/synthetics. so youd think there's just a buffet of free parts laying around right?
well, back up. how are the cars Alive in the first place...? its some sort of undefined fantasy-like magic. they are whimsical, fantastical beings. they can feel temperature, pain, pleasure- theyre fully alive as machines.
their Metal itself is alive.
and when they die, their Metal dies too.
same reasoning why when Dusty needed a new gearbox they had to find one from the Factory for him, or repair what he already had. Like... why?
same reason Doc died at the same time the AMC-badged cars went into a parts-war. [context: IRL the Hudson brand became AMC, then went out of business].
the new parts are Unclaimed/New metal, and they Bond/Mesh/Heal Into their new Body. the living metal bonds and cannot be unbonded without potentially being killed. the metal dies unless its handled by someone who knows what theyre doing- which is why car mechanics of a certain knowledge can be Doctors. or... other professions :)
Now this isnt to say parts-harvesting or graverobbing is impossible. sometimes some of the metal can rebond- some of it never died. [this is the type of work Mater does in salvage- it's part of his expertise to recognize these usable bits of metal from junk]. none of it is an exact science, because its magic, like the cars themselves.
this is where we crash into the second issue: the thing that Killed The World. The Blast, the EMP, the whatever it was, the End:
it tore up most cars on the inside. most vehicles blew the fuck up- not just their engines, but electrical systems flowing through their bodies caused damage to surrounding areas too, organic and mechanical.

not a lot of the corpses are salvageable. its mostly dead metal, and all torn up too.
Lightning’s eyes are already heavy, but in his last moments of consciousness, he tracks Cruz through blurry vision, fumbling with some living-solder and a propane tank, looking at the still-seeping bullet wound on Chick’s flank with a silent frown on her face. [Hi. I'm a grub and I live in the soil.]
parts are rare. this causes trouble. >:)
"-There’s nothing left anymore. I’m sorry.” [Old Spare]
[further reading on the blood-side of Living Metal theory, both worldbuilding ideas by Non]
OC Rundown POV in apocalypse Rundown is an old parts-harvester/engineer, forced to taste his own medicine of torment when the apocalypse strikes. He's modified himself enough to have survived- but just barely. He's trapped himself in a hell of his own evil making.
OH YEAH and to go even further. i think the vehicles themselves were employees of their own factories making their own parts [like any other manufacturing job], so the survivors have to learn the art of part-forging with unbonded living metal. its a whole process of skill-preservation. ive been slowly picking at who in the cast learns the forging skill- several characters certainly. and of course some of the factory experts survived, but they cant do everything alone!
thanks for the ask!
#apoc au#ask#anon#reply#cw gore#hc#this ones less so about apocau specifically and more about how our general-worldbuilding affects it#so applies to my other canon-adjacent stuff too#hope i explained this ok

Heart or Brain? | Wriothesley x reader
This is sort of a trailer of mine for an AO3 project that I've been working on, albeit I haven't published any chapters yet. Not proofread :)
You were an average girl in Fontaine, living an average life with your family, or at least that's what it looked like on surface level.
What you really were was a member of the House of the Hearth, working as an informant, detective, intelligence manager, you name it. The point is, that you were in a high position and an invaluable member, sitting right by The Knave's side during every meeting.
When you ended up in the Fortress of Meropide, it was also for the sake of an investigation regarding some of its inner workings, and the easiest way to do that was faking a fraud case through your day job, which was a logistics manager at a big Fontainian manufacture company.
Queue fake crying at the trial because of made up reasons that your nonexistent sister living in Mondstadt needed medical attention and had no money for it. Through this, your public image remained almost completely intact as the sweet girl who would help everyone in Fontaine if they ever needed assistance. But more importantly, you were in the prison, serving a three year sentence, which would give you more than enough time to play the slow game and gather as much intel as possible without becoming suspicious.
As a fellow inmate, you became sort of a mentor to fresh inmates, teaching them the know-how about the place, and telling them what and what not to do. You got the reputation of the nice, reliable girl who's totally eager to pull you out of trouble or help you get special perks if you know how to ask her nicely.
But there was one thorn in your side, namely the Duke, Wriothesley. As what you were, a normal inmate, it didn't matter how high of a regard you were held in by others, you had no way of getting close to him and getting your hand on the knowledge that he possessed.
You expressed these concerns to The Knave in a letter, who suggested infiltrating Wriothesley's inner circle through Sigewinne, the melusine girl who worked as the head nurse of the infirmary. As such, you would eagerly ask Sigewinne about any and all questions regarding medicine and healing, meanwhile you learned how to use your Hydro vision to heal wounds and such things.
Sure, it took about six months of your sentence, but you became highly trusted by Sigewinne and 'doctor' also got added to your excessively long list of entries in your job description. From now, it didn't take long before you were actually attending tea parties with Sigewinne and Wriothesley, who was most likely none the wiser about your machinations, as you managed to build a perfect stack of cards for yourself that all played in the favor of your mission and helped you evade suspicion with every move you made.
Tea time with Wriothesley became a common occurrence even when Sigewinne wasn't around, and slowly but surely you managed to get more and more information about him, his past, the fortress, and anything for that matter. In order to keep your friendship with him genuine, you also told him things about your life, albeit from before joining the House of the Hearth, as well as your previous day job as a logistics manager, and pretty much presented him the same persona that you portrayed during the trial, the kindhearted, selfless girl who would risk her life and freedom for those who she cared about.
You truly became his closest confidant when he finally introduced you to his secret project, the ship that he had been constructing under the prison, as well as the strange door that separated Fontaine from disaster.
He arranged for you to work full time as a healer who would treat injuries with her hydro vision, while in your free time, you helped out with your project, and you'd notice that he'd always go out of his way to do things from you, from making sure that you'd eat the best food at the cafeteria to giving you exquisite teas and pastries imported from the surface.
He'd look into your eyes so genuinely that it almost made you cry, knowing that you were nothing more than an undercover spy, a con artist and a fraud. But in terms of the mission, it would be the cherry on top if you managed to get him to fall in love with you, regardless of how bad you felt about it.
Besides, you wouldn't mind having to act like you were madly in love with him, after all he was a smart, strong and incredibly handsome man, and there was something about the way he spoiled you with amazing teas and treats, and the way he would hug you goodbye, or put his arm around your waist when you were together in private that made you question how much longer you could keep everything professional on your end.
When the day arrived that he took your chin in his hand and kissed you softly, you didn't even think of resisting. You kissed him back as if it was your last minute alive, enjoying the way you could still taste the tea in his mouth as he continued stealing your breath.
Being with him felt so genuine and real that whenever he kissed you, you completely forgot about being a liar and a fraud, only to remember it as soon as you looked into his eyes after pulling away.
It wouldn't hurt the mission if you just enjoyed a little bit of spice every now and then, right?
You were utterly torn between two worlds. On one hand, it was your entire life's mission to help prevent the prophecy from coming true and contribute as much to the Fatui as possible, but on the other hand, you had actually developed feelings for Wriothesley, and it was only the matter of days before you could say that you're completely in love with him. Telling 'Father' might damage your reliability and reputation as a Fatuus, while telling Wriothesley would completely ruin your relationship with him. After all, it may have started as you schemes of getting information for the operation, but your feelings for him were real, and you've never felt this way about anyone before.
You'd soon have to choose, but you really didn't want to. Should you let your heart or your brain dictate?

Re : your tags about willingly following death if it was iv
Tw for death ♡
A series of unfortunate event degraded your health considerably. You kept having nightmares, fearing you inevitable demise. At the end of each dream, however, a silhouette pulls you from the anxiety and keeps you in some sort of void dimension, where the shadows shift like clouds and where the silence is comforting. He's there. His voice is low and sweet like honey. It resonates in your soul like in a cave. Soon, he will be there. He told you so. He will be there to take you away. Bring you home.
Imagine you see him standing over your bed, in a white bedroom that wasn't yours. The machines are silent. You can't feel the devices that kept you alive anymore. You barely even feel your own body. He tilts his head slightly.
"It's been quite lonely without you, sweetheart."
Finally, you would unite. Your soul smiled. You weren't alone anymore, and neither was he. He extended his hand and you felt pulled towards him. Getting up from your bed didn't feel like the most straining thing ever anymore. Your hands joined like they were magnets manufactured to never let go of each other. His face was obscured by shadow. You could only get a glimpse of one eye, not enough to read his expression, but enough to know that he will keep you safe. You couldn't tear your gaze from him, and it seemed like he couldn't either. His breathing was deep, his chest rising and falling more noticeably as he seemed to get lost in your eyes. He then snapped out of it, looked ahead, through the window. The night had fallen and the starlight beat the city lights. You looked too. The sky seemed to twist, like a potion being stirred. It wrapped around itself, stretching into your vision, in the room, blurring and slithering.
"We're going home, angel. Just hold on tight."
You squeezed his hand and he squeezed yours, like your hands were commanded by the same brain. You felt yourself drift away but your grip didn't weaken. You held on tight as you were told. You longed for the home you were promised. The home he was. You felt nothing but warm tingles all over and sacred vapours surrounding you.
So this is what they call rest.
Oh 🥹
I almost don’t even wanna post this and just keep it to myself forever but that would be selfish and unfair to the art that is this writing.
I have nothing else to say but what has been said by somebody else.
If there’s no one beside you when your soul embarks, I’ll follow you into the dark
What an honor to have it be him
#thank you ghost man#❤️🫀#fr I’m all 🥹 right now#this is what they call rest#tw death#answered asks#polteergeistt#very important to me

Happy holidays, @randowhump!
Juno and Menieri: Flashlight
Juno hated the sounds of the machines. His captor sometimes used them for the experiments. Some of them shuddered, or hummed, or ticked. Others only made noise when something went wrong, in uneasy bursts, the clacking of metal hitting metal. They were all old and on the verge of rusting. He didn’t know what they did—except the heart monitor, harshly punctuating every beat, every breath he took. It was unnatural. It kept him awake for hours, staring at the rotted ceiling of the abandoned laboratory.
He was exhausted, too exhausted to think of anything but that sound, its sharp rhythm. His captor had left him tied to a chair. Each of his wrists were secured to the metal arms. Juno hadn’t bothered to struggle against the rope. He had been left here for some time, just waiting for his captor to return.
The door opened. Juno closed his eyes, but he could hear footsteps coming closer. An echoing sound, quieter, no less excruciating. The sweetest part of escaping would be the silence.
Juno opened his eyes to see his captor’s figure, setting something up in the corner of his vision. His gaze lingered over the cat-shaped mask they always wore. It looked dull in the dim light, as tarnished as all their tools. They were holding what appeared to be a flashlight. Not quite the kind of flashlight a layman might own. Despite the rust, it was undeniably manufactured with skill. It had a sleek body of steel, no doubt beautiful and sterilized when it was first built, somewhat complicated in the way only medical tools were.
The masked figure set it down for a moment. They were motionless, apparently studying Juno, although it was impossible to tell what they were thinking. Then they picked up a spindly metal frame and gently held it in front of his face.
It took him a moment to adjust his vision. He recoiled, pushing his head as far back as it would go. Another toy his captor had found in the ruins of the laboratory, he guessed. As the smell of rust filled the air, he traced its silhouette from the straps on the side to the very ends, which were sharp and intimidating even in the pale, faded light. The heart monitor began to work faster, its artificial rhythm falling out of place and becoming claustrophobic, ringing in his ears like needles. Such a horrible, unnatural sound.
“Oh, calm down.” His captor had noticed, clearly. Their eyes narrowed in a smile behind their mask. “I haven’t even started.”
“Just get it over with,” Juno said.
The masked figure gave him a small, polite nod, their eyes still glittering, and placed the frame over Juno’s face. They strapped it far too tightly around his head, making him wince as the metal edge dug into his skin. They pulled his head back and attached the frame to the chair.
They pushed something into place, making the metal click. The sharp ends of the frame came dangerously close to Juno’s eyes. His chest tightened despite the fatigue. He felt far too awake, far too aware of what was happening, aware of every little sensation pressing on his body and every little movement in the edge of his sight.
The frame lowered, closer… he could now see the sort of clasps on each end, although he did not know what they were called and he hardly cared. The masked figure pulled on a pair of latex gloves and pried his eyelids open.
“Hold still.” They attached the frame to his eyelids. Juno hissed. It stung. He tensed against the ropes, curling his hands into fists and digging his nails into his palm. But it was over quickly, and they soon stepped back from Juno’s face.
They held their hands up, indicating that they were done. It wasn’t much of a comfort, really, and Juno was too distracted to notice. The frame was holding their left eye open. He screwed his other eye shut, but the stinging just grew sharper. Tears of discomfort blurred their vision.
The masked figure had the decency to dab his face with a tissue, at least. They proceeded to pick the flashlight up, as delicately as a flower. Juno attempted to watch what they were doing, but the strain was too much. He was forced to stare directly ahead.
A bright light flared in his face. He let out a startled cry.
“Oh!” Even his captor seemed surprised. They lowered the flashlight. A bright echo remained in his vision, which soon faded. Juno relaxed slightly—but only slightly. “I’m surprised the batteries still work so well. I found it under one of the cabinets. It must have rolled underneath.”
Juno glared at them as best as he could. The masked figure laughed, softly and quietly, barely audible at all. It reminded him of the machines: a sound that whirred and buzzed like the call of an oversized insect. Like the clicking of mandibles and chitin legs…
They lifted the flashlight and turned it back on.
It was just as intense. He gritted his teeth against the sensation. His breath hitched in his throat, and for a moment the heart monitor was blissfully silent—before it fell right back into its stuttering punctuation.
“Are you crazy?” he rasped. “You’ll make me go blind!”
“You have two eyes, don’t you?” They increased the strength of the light.
It had only been a second, he reminded himself, and it couldn’t last long. But he could swear that he felt the heat of it on his skin. As brutal as the sun, as unforgiving as the pyre, burning into his retinas like a flame. His shoulders tensed. Another startled sound rose up his throat against his will. He could swear his iris was splitting. He clawed against the surface of the chair under his hands, struggling aimlessly against the rope.
The light cut out suddenly. His vision was left black, blurry white rings still superimposed on the darkness. His captor swiftly released his eye from the metal frame. The straps were pulled off and lifted away. Juno hung his head down and shut his eye at last. His breathing was heavy, but it slowed.
“There you go,” his captor said. “Easy does it. Blink a few times. Good, just like that.”
His vision eased into focus, and although his eye still hurt and the rings still echoed behind his retina, he could see again. He sighed.
“Did you really think I would do permanent damage?” they asked. “You have no faith in me.”
He shrugged. The procedure had probably not been as bad as it felt. But it hadn’t felt very nice, either, and Juno would be glad to never see that wretched metal frame again.
The masked figure set their tools down on the table with a satisfied curtness. “That's all for today. Goodbye. I will see you soon. Try not to strain your eyes too much.”
Their footsteps echoed across the room, and then the door closed. Such grating, agonizing sounds. They’re insane…Juno thought. But he felt no anger, nothing except a weary apathy. It was a lost cause, anyway. He just hoped he could get some sleep tonight.

funny au information NOW [launching furniture via telekinesis]
MY FUCKING HOUSE. IT IS IN SHAMBLES
also your wish is my command. prepare for a wall
for things to make sense, i should give background on the spearheader of the au. aka, why the au even fucking exists. and once i do THAT then i’ll explain it so its not just. “ok how the fuck did this happen”
so to get it out of the way. i have this very particular oc, Tuppoi, whom i post abt on and off but ive never really explained. mainly due to the fact that if i were to explain her properly then any post would become the equivalent of the great firewall of china. but for au’s sake i’ll summarize what the fuck she is, how she do, and how she created another timeline. aka this au
tuppoi came from an AAHW cloning batch that uses fuckn, dna samples from prior to marshmellow madness when animals theoretically existed. there were 3 others in her batch but we’re only focusing on Fuckhead right now. her sample contained mostly lizard & skink dna, and some chromosome fuckery later, heres why she has four hands. some dissension shit later of “this job fucking SUCKS” and her technical brother was wounded in the crossfire of escaping, while also being slapped into a coma due to tuppoi’s own medical malpractice. she cant Medicbag. this caused her to want to revive him, so she put her talent of technical machinery to use and started to produce weaponry to raise funds to bring em back. this wasn’t enough though, so she switched to android manufacturing. many monopoly money later and she’s risen to the top where she can start asking around for those to revive her brother. which, smthn abt a fragmented S3LF later, she decides that she HAS to attract the attention of stygian in order to bring him back. monopolization and “fuckoff SQ” later, stygian arrives like the mercy from overwatch gif and revives her brother for shits and giggles then despawns (this is a pissass explaination but the visual works). this causes tuppoi to realize that death is a meaningless concept in nevada if you truly can just bring someone back from the dead, since she didnt fully believe it prior. and once she discovered what the fuck dissonance is (after one of her androids got killed), she got set on “resetting” nevada to its former glory, prior to the nexus’ downfall and prior to any improb drive activation. the “default of nevada” as she’d coin it.
so a fuckton of going back and forth between the SQ and purgatory shit later (the SQ deems her as a threat, and fuck i don’t blame them!) she opens a gate, nether portal, whatever to purgatory to let a very fucking dangerous thing out to scorch nevada. and with the help of her fuckass improb drive ipad infected with a null variable, which effectively bypasses the theoretical admin system of nevada (think like a pc), she completely reset nevada. though in canon she both succeeded AND failed due to an interloper completely splitting the process and causing her timeline to splinter off from the current, instead of completely resetting the nevada they resided in.
tldr, tuppoi is a fucking smug asshole and with the help of “i know too much for my own good”, she fractured reality because she saw the current reality as too easy, and went to make reality into her own vision.
okay are you still here. i didnt scare you off right. okay cool, so now about the au she successfully created and the shit you actually ASKED ABOUT,
the au Tuppoi created can best be summarized as “if cyberpunk 2077 took place in nevada, and if everything was a theoretical utopia”. everything is so technologically advanced that atleast every grunt has an augmentation of some sort. and where the SQ was trying to uphold the status quo of the machine, the SQ here is trying to completely break it in order to cause anarchy, out of sheer distaste under Tuppoi’s utopian and ever-so-subtle dictatorish rule.
a bit more context on to how the au was created, once tuppoi was slapped into the new timeline they were thrown immediately into when marshmellow madness was about to happen. so to prevent THAT and from a certain null integer spawning, with the power of her fuckass improb drive she completely deleted it. and since improb drives hadn’t even been conceived yet; it was freeroam for her to do whatever she wanted, to be perceived as a god and to shape nevada into her molding. and so her second course of action was to completely revoke The Maker’s admin role and to merge a certain fuckshit with The Machine, basically turning a degrading and almost deceased imac into a modern day gaming computer. so now, tuppoi has complete reign under nevada!
ok i fucking deviated BAH. morw about the au since this is not an exclusively tuppoi ramble even though she is keenly tied to it.
the au, the terminal au, named as such since. you can take terminal alot of different ways and also >computer terminal. grunts are effectively under a hivemind to stay “correct” and to follow their assigned tasks, their goals. much like actual madcom canon except the machine got fuckshit pissy about that not being followed. though here since every grunt is augmented, they’re hooked to the machine’s server which forces them to behave and not “act out of line”, making it VERY difficult to dissent, BUT. the SQ (which i probably need to rename huh) managed anyway from varying points;
doc being a super hacker and able to reroute past the machine’s connection, dei just turning off connection to the machine and doing the same thing for sanford— connecting to doc’s server if needbe for hacking purposes, and hank just. Well. Fucker is 80% bionic so he’s sort of relying off doc anyway, so he’s hardwired to doc’s server. really most of this can be summarized up to “me and the boys avoiding the school firewall”
jebus likely exists but not in the way you’d think, im still thinking about him but he’d be a savior in his own way, crackpot ate shit and died aka i dont even know if he exists considering in the au, nexus city didnt even get established, tricky i need to think about but he’d either be Mostly organic or Mostly mechanical, i cant tell. bro has to have a stark contrast somewhere and im still debating. employers only half-exist but their role isn’t “all-powerful overseeing gods”, its “forced into overseeing districts of nevada from their stations”, so every employer is forced to be the auditor since tuppoi does Not trust anyone. not even with creative mode she just Doesnt trust anyone, and she has no need to in hindsight.
phobos also doesnt exist. Shocking. or well, maybe crackpot&him could exist but they’d be so rewritten. maybe they’re a warhammer40k terminally online club idk LMAO.
feel like i should elaborate on both doc & hank’s designs so far but i think they’re self explanatory. doc has the Big Computer on his hip and is shaped like a hackerman, also has lightup sketchers cause he would. and he’d pull up his pc with holograms so that shit’s neat i think. also of course he’d be able to hack stuff, but his skills are Greatly Enhanced when his pc is on, at the tradeoff of him risking being discovered by tuppoi due to so many anonymous and heavily encrypted packets being sent to her server (the machine).
and hank is 80% bionic and 20%? mechanical, playing into the “this fucker is a MACHINE.” and the reason for him being so augmented so much, is that revival sort of Doesnt exist. yeah. death is fucking Permanent, and stuff like medicbags is a scarce find (can you tell tuppoi made this timeline.) so the only way to efficiently heal yourself is to augment yourself. Which is why hank looks like a fucking soldat on destiny steroids. and why he has that big fuckoff blade which can be replaced for other parts (but thats mostly to make him kill quicker) but by fucking god im not drawing them!! one of them is a railgun reconfigured into a rifle, and i’m NOT DRAWING THAT !!
but yeah. key takeaways;
— tuppoi (terminal) au is cyberpunk 2077 but nevada and everything is a utopia governed by Fuckshit Von Tupperware
— dissenters want reality fucked up and nuked because in every timeline they hate tuppoi (mostly true)
— tuppoi’s character arc is “i miss my brother -> “Reality is pointless and so is progression, it’s best if it was all reset and built anew under a more purposeful gaze.”
— i need to ramble about these fuckshits more so thank you for invading my home, throwing my furniture around like a gmod prophunt map, and asking for This
as a bonus heres terminal tuppoi & int i never posted because i forgor
#THANKYOU THANK Y THANKYOU FOR ASKING#i was waking up as i typed this so if shit doesnt make sense you can ask for reclarification#but fuckk i have so much. lore. help.#i stapled toyhouse links in for the characters i was referring to#because if i DIDNT then this would be longer than the great firewall.#madness combat#madness combat au#slimslime talks#still exploding btw thankyou thankyu#also i might redo the terminal int#still not happy w it but idk

Common Issues with Pump Capping Machines and How to Troubleshoot Them
Pump capping machines play a crucial role in packaging lines, especially in industries dealing with liquid products like cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and personal care items. These machines are designed to securely and consistently place and tighten pump caps onto bottles, ensuring product integrity and customer satisfaction. Despite their reliability, like any mechanical system, pump capping machines can encounter issues over time that may affect production efficiency and product quality. Understanding common problems and how to troubleshoot them can help manufacturers avoid costly downtime and maintain smooth operations.
One of the most frequent issues operators face is misalignment between the pump cap and the bottle neck. This usually happens due to improper bottle positioning on the conveyor or inconsistencies in bottle dimensions. When a bottle isn’t aligned correctly, the pump may not seat properly, leading to loose caps or damaged threading. Troubleshooting this issue involves checking the bottle guides and the star wheel system if present. Adjustments to the bottle positioning components can often correct this misalignment. Additionally, it’s important to ensure that all bottles fed into the system meet the required dimensional tolerances.
Another common problem is inconsistent torque application, which results in either overtightened or under tightened caps. If a cap is too loose, it may leak or come off during transport; if it’s too tight, it could damage the bottle or the cap itself. Torque inconsistencies typically stem from worn-out or improperly set torque heads. Regular calibration of the torque settings and inspection of the capping heads for wear and tear can mitigate this issue. Replacing worn-out parts promptly ensures more consistent performance.
Jamming is another operational headache, particularly in high-speed production environments. Jams can occur when pump caps get stuck in the cap chute or are fed upside down into the capping head. This often results from improper sorting or a malfunctioning cap orientation system. To resolve this, operators should examine the cap sorter and feeder bowl, ensuring they are free from obstructions and functioning correctly. Installing a vision system or sensor-based cap orientation mechanism can help prevent future occurrences.
Machine vibration and noise are also indicators of potential problems. Excessive vibration may suggest misalignment within the machine components or loose fixtures. Over time, this can lead to mechanical wear and reduced accuracy in capping. When this issue arises, it’s essential to shut down the machine and inspect all mounting points, fasteners, and rotating components. Ensuring everything is properly tightened and lubricated will reduce vibration and extend the machine’s lifespan.
Another challenge lies in the variability of pump caps themselves. Not all pump caps are manufactured equally, and minor variations in cap design or material can affect how well they are applied by the machine. If the capping machine is set for a specific type of pump and a slightly different one is introduced, problems can quickly arise. Operators should confirm that all caps used are within the machine’s specification range. If variations are common, consider upgrading to a more flexible capping system that can handle a wider variety of cap styles and sizes.
Electrical and software issues can also cause the machine to behave unpredictably. These might include unresponsive control panels, inconsistent motor speeds, or inaccurate sensor readings. These issues often stem from loose wiring, outdated firmware, or faulty PLC programming. Performing regular diagnostics, keeping software updated, and ensuring clean and secure electrical connections can help minimize such occurrences. When in doubt, consulting the machine’s manual or a qualified technician is the best course of action.
Lastly, inadequate operator training is an often-overlooked issue that can lead to a range of problems. Even the most sophisticated pump capping machines require skilled handling. Improper use, poor maintenance habits, and unawareness of warning signs can all contribute to machine breakdowns. Ensuring that all personnel operating the machine are properly trained and updated on best practices can greatly reduce the frequency of issues and improve overall productivity.
In conclusion, while pump capping machines are designed for durability and efficiency, they are not immune to problems. Misalignment, torque inconsistencies, jamming, vibration, cap variability, electrical faults, and operator error are among the most common issues encountered. Proactive maintenance, routine inspections, and ongoing training are key strategies in troubleshooting and preventing these problems. By staying vigilant and responsive, businesses can ensure their capping machines continue to deliver optimal performance and support a seamless production line. Top Techniques to Process Ferro Titanium Scrap in Steel Foundries (2025 Update)
As the steel industry moves toward smarter, leaner, and more sustainable operations in 2025, manufacturers are embracing advanced ways to refine raw materials. One material playing a critical role in this transformation is Ferro Titanium Scrap, known for its ability to enhance steel quality and performance when processed correctly.
With rising demand for cleaner production methods and tighter control on material costs, foundries around the world are upgrading their scrap processing systems. This article explores the most effective and updated techniques now being used to process this alloy material in steelmaking.
The Importance of Efficient Scrap Processing
In modern foundries, scrap materials are more than just waste—they’re essential inputs that can be reused to reduce costs and resource consumption. Titanium-rich alloys are especially valuable in the steelmaking process, as they contribute to grain refinement, deoxidation, and overall strength of the final product.
However, this value can only be unlocked if the scrap is processed properly. The wrong approach can lead to contamination, poor recovery, and inconsistent chemistry in the final melt.
Updated Processing Techniques for 2025
1. Smart Sorting and Quality Control
Effective processing starts with sorting. Modern steel plants are now using AI-powered vision systems and XRF analyzers to automatically classify incoming scrap. These tools detect material type, alloy content, and contamination in real time.
This not only speeds up the sorting process but also ensures that only the right material enters the melt shop, reducing the chances of unwanted reactions or element imbalances.
2. Eco-Friendly Cleaning Systems
Scrap often arrives coated in lubricants, oils, and other residues from its previous use. Advanced cleaning systems—such as ultrasonic tanks, solvent vaporizers, and water-saving degreasers—are now being used to remove these impurities before melting.
By adopting greener degreasing methods, foundries are reducing their environmental footprint while also improving the purity of their feedstock.
3. Size Reduction and Briquetting
Large chunks or uneven pieces can melt at inconsistent rates and introduce variations into the process. To prevent this, scrap is crushed, milled, or pressed into briquettes. This step ensures uniform melting, reduced oxidation, and better integration with other alloying materials.
Briquetting, in particular, has become a favored approach in 2025. New machines come equipped with moisture sensors and digital compaction controls, improving consistency while reducing waste.
4. Blending and Alloy Matching
Scrap alone rarely provides the perfect chemistry. To meet exact specifications, it’s blended with other Ferro Titanium Alloys before being added to the furnace. This is often done using automated batching systems that weigh and mix materials according to custom melt recipes.
The result is better control over the final composition of the steel—leading to higher quality output and fewer adjustments during production.
5. Controlled Addition to the Furnace
Melting titanium-based materials requires precision. If added too early, valuable elements may burn off or react unfavorably with oxygen. In 2025, foundries are now using temperature and oxygen-level sensors to guide the timing of alloy addition.
Some facilities also preheat the material before charging to reduce thermal shock and enhance dissolution, improving recovery rates and reducing downtime.
6. Slag Monitoring and Titanium Recovery
During melting, unwanted elements are separated into slag. New slag analysis tools, often AI-assisted, now monitor real-time titanium losses and help operators adjust the process on the fly. This data is crucial for maximizing recovery from each melt and minimizing material waste.
By optimizing slag removal and alloy retention, plants can significantly cut costs and improve yield without compromising steel quality.
Moving Toward Sustainable Steelmaking
One of the biggest trends in 2025 is the shift toward sustainability. Steelmakers are rethinking traditional methods and adopting low-emission processes throughout the production chain.
From energy-efficient furnaces to closed-loop water systems and smart emission controls, today’s processing lines are designed not just for performance—but for responsibility.
And when high-grade materials like ferro titanium scrap are processed with care, they become part of the sustainability solution.
Final Thoughts
Efficient processing of alloy scrap is no longer a background task—it’s a strategic part of steel production. The techniques used today are far more sophisticated, helping manufacturers achieve consistency, sustainability, and better returns on every melt.
Whether you're managing a large steel plant or a specialty foundry, investing in the right systems and practices can unlock greater value from every batch of material.
By adopting these updated approaches, steel producers are setting a strong foundation for high-performance, low-waste operations in 2025 and beyond.
